211 Collins Avenue

This quaint and charming sixteen-unit apartment building was built in 1925 and was the first of the TK and Portofino Group successful historical renovations. TK purchased 211 Collins Avenue in 1992 and then refurbished the property, celebrating its opening in 1993. The initial response in rental occupancy was immediate, which marked the beginning of changes that would take place in the South Pointe area.

The renovation was so successful that surrounding buildings soon followed suit and began "cleaning up". Renters clamored to the area, which soon became the trendiest area of the beach. TK’s vision had picked up speed and affected all that followed in moving through South Pointe.

After years of ownership, TK sold this building to the City of Miami Beach; today it continues to be fully rented. When sold to the City of Miami Beach it was sold to be used for Section 8 housing.

Preserved by TK, this charming historical building on Collins Avenue still thrives today.
